Matt (he/him) is a wounded healer! Husband to the most courageous, hilarious, and entrepreneurial woman he knows, father to a creative girl who teaches him more than he teaches her! Currently Matt serves half-time with the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church as the Associate Director of New Starts. In his role with the NTC, he is tasked with developing and supporting initiatives to start new faith communities. His other half-time gig is serving as the Facilitating Pastor at NewStory Church in Chicago.

Matt is committed to lifelong learning and seeks to be as authentic and transparent as possible. As an Enneagram 5 - ENTJ,  he loves to think outside of the box, build systems, write detailed bios, and start new things. Matt loves baseball, football, and fancies himself an amateur mixologist. He plays around on the guitar some and enjoys riding his bike. More than anything, Matt loves people and hanging out with friends and making new ones. He received his BA in Ministry and Leadership from LIFE Pacific College in San Dimas, CA and his MA from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
